The first, freshly released single “COBRA” can be heard/seen here (click here) and impressively shows that THE CRYPTEX have once again reinvented themselves. Never before has the band shown themselves in their songs as uncompromising, unvarnished, brute, and raw.
Fans and new listeners can expect a surreal, boundary-breaking, usual untamed, and extremely original mixture of rock, pop, alternative, metal, art, and prog rock.Wonderfully lively, pulsating compositions that subliminally want to animate you to “break out” and “scream,” as only this band is able to bring across credibly.
The song lyrics depict a wide, intellectual, analytical, and unvarnished range of emotions, reminding the listener of the complexity of our emotional worlds. Full of anger, rebellion, despair, tragedy, joy, sadness, hatred, love, cynicism, openness, and blackness at the same time.
